inspiring and entertaining children of all ages...
Hudson Creative
Hudson Creative Studio is a website that I created to share my children's story book ideas and illustrations.
I am an aspiring children's book author and illustrator, a mother of four and a proud Air Force Wife. Currently I live in Indiana, while my husband, who is an F-16 pilot, is stationed at Kunsan Air Base in South Korea. Because I am a military spouse, I have lived, studied and traveled all over the world. I'm excited to share my stories with all of you. Thanks for visiting hudsoncreativestudios.com!

Stories
I have been working on my craft by taking various writing and illustration classes. You can read more about that in my "Blog" and my "Bio." To read excerpts and teasers for each of my children's stories, click here!
I started writing poems and children's stories back in 2006. I have always wanted to inspire and entertain children through books and now I have four little ones who inspire and entertain me every day.
Illustrations
I have been drawing for decades- ever since I was a little girl. I've taken countless number of art classes over the years, so I feel like I've learned a lot and picked up a variety of techniques. Currently, I enjoy working with oil pastels and acrylic paint, along with collage. I have included some of my most recent works here!
Some of my favorite illustrations were created while attending workshops at Le Internazionale d'illustrazione per l'infanzia in Sarmede, Italy in the summer of 2010. These are mostly acrylic, which I painted while under the tutelage of Svjetlan Junakovic, Chiara Carrer and Jindra Capek. These weeklong workshops were some my favorite experiences while living in Italy for three and a half years.
The Lady and the Tiger
This illustration was created for a children's story book titled "Ho Sognato!" or translated "I dreamt!" by Luigi Dal Cin for illustration workshops during the summer of 2010 at Le Immagini della Fantasia in Sarmede, Italy. The text for this illustration, "Ho sognato Durga, la Madre Terra, sconfiggere la prepotenza del demone bufalo." "I dreamt Durga, Mother Earth, defeated the violence of the devilish buffalo/bull."
Flying Elephants
These illustrations were also created for the children's story book titled "Ho Sognato!" or translated "I dreamt!" by Luigi Dal Cin. The text for this illustration, "Ho sognato un cielo sereno che e una grande casa per tutti, dove anche i bambini e gli elefanti possono volare." Roughly translated, "I dreamt of a clear sky and a big house for everyone, where elephants and children can fly."
Flying Elephants and Durga
This is a two page spread, again illustrating "Ho Sognato." For these illustrations, I chose a more serene blue and brown color palate. The first page shows children and flying elephants which then flows into the second spread of "Durga," or Mother Earth, who is defeating the devilish bull by swallowing him up with her trees and plants.
Currently Working On:
Currently I am working on Kaitlynn Can Make an Eagle Soar along with editing Kaitlynn Can Make a Turtle Run. These two stories are about a girl dedicated to saving the environment. She finds a way to take any classroom assignment and turn it into a project that will make the world a better place, proving that no one is too far removed to care or too young to make a difference.
I am also in the process of tracking down all my stories, poems and illustrations to include in this website. HudsonCreativeStudio.com is a work in progress at the moment so bear with me as I try to tackle this along with writing and taking care of four busy little workerbees at home!
